Am I an evil person?

I have been working in a floral shop for almost one year. I will soon get a promotion to be the manage of our department.

since I work very hard and I can make very nice arrangement.the most important thing is that I%26#039;m very good at dealing with our customers. I always serve the customers patiently and concern of what they need very much. recently I just got a reward of my good service.

but we just got a new girl who is a Asian too like me.she can do the same good service just like me. of course, so far, I can do better arrangement than her. but it%26#039;s not very hard to learn if a person who love this kind of job.

so I felt so uncomfortable. it was my specialty . but now I fell a potential competition. I will lose my credite. I guess somebody will say, it is good for you as you got a so good worker. what are you worring about?

I do am worried. her English is much beeter than me. she%26#039;s 10ys older than me. I know, I%26#039;m so selfish.but it%26#039;s my true feeling.

Am I an evil person?
Why would you be evil? You are just worried about keeping your job, there isn%26#039;t anything fundamentally %26quot;wrong%26quot; with that. If you are worried about her working harder than you though, then you have to be willing to work harder yourself. If you have good employers, they aren%26#039;t going to drop you as long as you pull your weight. She may have a better accent than you, but if you do a better job you aren%26#039;t going to get fired. If you see that she does very good work, then you are going to need to push yourself to do just as well or better. This might be tough, but that%26#039;s the way the working world is.
Reply:Hello, Sun! You are not evil. It is normal to sense competition, especially with an art like floral arrangement! I would try your best to be this person%26#039;s friend. It will make you look confident in yourself and you might be able to learn a thing or two from her. I understand your insecurity, and again, it does not make you evil. Take great pride in your work and others will too. Good luck and stay proud!
Reply:You%26#039;re not an evil person as long as you try and do the job because you love it and not get jealous of whatever happens. You can not stop other people%26#039;s dreams because they might interfere with yours, you don%26#039;t have that control a lot of the times.
Reply:course not evil[:
Reply:To be worried is NOT selfish. You have identified ONE difference or ONE shortcoming in your performance: your English. Stop worrying about everything else.

Find a public school that will help you improve your English, OR hang out with native English speakers, and let them know you want to speak more like a native, so they should not be afraid to offer corrections. Or do both.

Carry around a pocket dictionary so that you can look up words like %26quot;selfish%26quot;. %26quot;Selfish%26quot; is to think TOO much of yourself and not about others.
Reply:envy not evil
Reply:You are not evil but you are normal. You see your new coworker as a threat and you are kind of on the offensive. Don%26#039;t fret no matter what happens you have your experience and you feel good about it. Don%26#039;t let anyone take that away from you.
Reply:Even though you think it%26#039;s competition it%26#039;s an opprotunity to learn from each other, maybe you have lots in common, and maybe as you teach her to do arrangements better, she can help you with english, it could pay off for both of you, but you will always have seniority over her so your secure in your position. Give her a chance it just may work out. Good luck and don%26#039;t worry.

Who gets flowers?

I%26#039;ve got to start interviewing florists soon, and I%26#039;m trying to make a list of the flowers I%26#039;ll need for our wedding. I%26#039;ve got the centerpieces and the bouquets down, but I%26#039;m not sure who all is supposed to get a boutineer or corsage. Obviously the groomsmen get boutineers and the mothers get corsages, but who else? I want to have an accurate count so I can figure out my floral budget. Thanks! Oh, and what other arranged bouquets will I need as well? I know I%26#039;ll need a couple of arrangements for the altar, but what else?

Who gets flowers?
Okay!! Other than your bouquet and the centerpieces on the dinner tables, make sure you have other tables counted as well- if you are doing anything for the buffet table (if you are having one), gift table (ditto), guest book table, etc.

A few arrangements at the altar are nice, also decide if you want to have anything at the end of the pews and if so, are they going to be floral?

Dont%26#039;d forget flower petals - for the flower girls (if theyre allowed to drop them), as well as possibly having guests throw them on you (instead of rice, etc.), and possibly decorating tables with them.

For boutonnieres, corsages, and bouquets, you have obviously the bride and groom, then the groomsmen and bridesmaids, and then mothers and fathers. Some people also choose to honor grandparents with corsages/boutonnieres, or any other guests you want to distinguish, such as godparents. It is also very nice to have anyone who is doing something for you in the ceremony, like reading or singing, to have one.

Also decide on if you want flowers or some other topper on your cake.

Oh and if your flower girls arent or cant drop petals, make sure you have something for them - a mini-bouquet or a pomander ball, or something.

And decide if you are planning to throw the bouquet-you may want a smaller, less expensive %26quot;tossing%26quot; bouquet instead of using your real one if you want to keep/preserve your own.

All of this is optional-you can stick to the bare bones (wedding party and parents) or flesh it out the the rest of this, but there shouldnt be anything I didnt put on the list that is usually done. Don%26#039;t forget if you want to save money or do things a little differently, you can use silk flowers instead of real ones, you can choose what types of flowers you use-different ones cost A LOT differently, you can have bridesmaids carry candles or flower girls ring bells, etc. You can also get bouquets and boutonnieres made out of swarovski crystals which are really pretty, or you could do non-floral centerpieces (like floating candles, etc). Just some ideas; good luck!!!
Reply:Don%26#039;t forget the ushers. And congratulations!!!
Reply:You%26#039;d be just as married if you had no flowers at all, so the answer is %26quot;anyone you%26#039;d to whom you%26#039;d care to make a gift of flowers.%26quot; Generally the bride has some sort of bouquet (to later throw) and the groom has some sort of buttonhole blossom. Everything beyond that is really just icing on the cake. If your florist tries to tell you otherwise, tell your florist that Miss Manners says and that he/she is just trying to pad the bill.
Reply:Some brides include the grandparents as well. I think it%26#039;s a nice gesture.

Good luck
Reply:We did-

Great Aunt (because my grandmothers are passed), his 5 sisters who are not in the wedding, sister%26#039;s husband not in the wedding, fathers, mothers and the groomsmen and bridesmaids and of coarse us.

Extra- Church flowers- talk to the church about what you need.
Reply:The fathers should get boutineers as well. Otherwise, I think you%26#039;ve got it covered.
Reply:Fathers of the bride and groom should get boutonnieres.

You may want to give boutonnieres and corsages to the grandparents of the bride and groom.

If you or your groom-to-be have godparents you may want to consider giving them boutonnieres and corsages too.
Reply:the florist knows.
Reply:Your bridesmaids, groomsman, the groom and the bride. Then the parents get one, perhaps the grandparents. Don%26#039;t worry about anyone else.

As far as decorative flowers, I suggest ditching anything that isn%26#039;t for your reception tables. Flowers are by far one of the biggest wedding rip offs. They cost a lot of money and die. Depending on your church/ceremony site, you may not need additional decor. BTW, I used ProFlowers.com, and they were great.
Reply:The flower girl needs petals. Get a buttonhole for the ring bearer. And the bridesmaids get bouquets.
Reply:A lot of the time bridesmaids get flowers as well. and any other who are in the wedding party like sisters brothers in laws and so forth you really need to know who is going to be part of the ceremony and what not cause they should have flowers and yes your grandparents should have one as well nieces and nephew don%26#039;t really need then only if they are old enough to have one or ware one

you should also find pictures of flowers and arrangements that you like so you can show the florist what you would like to have

hope this helps and good luck
Reply:A good loving heart is all you need.

Best Wishes

Anybody know where i can find real stargazer lilies in bulk online?

i%26#039;m going to be ordering flowers in bulk and having a family friend do my bouquets and arrangements (she%26#039;s experienced.) i%26#039;ve looked at the sam%26#039;s club website, they have other kinds of lilies but not stargazers. these are my favorite flowers, and i%26#039;d really like to have them for my wedding. are there any other bulk floral websites out there?

Anybody know where i can find real stargazer lilies in bulk online?
Lilium or stargazer lilies are also known as oriental lilies (not asiatic) and can be bought in bulk at costco online
Reply:http://www.flowerbud.com/flower-market/g...
Reply:Try theflowerexchange.com They%26#039;ve got lots of flowers you can order and good prices.

Are they seasonal? Sams club used to have stargazer lillies online.
Reply:I have heard good things about www.freshroses.com....last I checked they had more than just roses you could get and the prices aren%26#039;t bad either.

Proflowers.com is pretty good but the prices are a little high

Flowerbud.com ditto

Talk to the florists in the area...perhaps they would be willing to sell the you lillies but at a discount since they wouldn%26#039;t be doing the arrangements. Some of the nice ones might even tell you who their supplier is so you could order directly from them.

I'm doing my own flowers, need advice...?

We are on a strict budget for our wedding and based on the quotes I%26#039;ve been told, we can%26#039;t afford a florist. A friend of my Mother told us that we should buy real flowers in bulk online and just do the arrangements ourselves. (that%26#039;s what they did at her daughters wedding) I love the idea, especially since we aren%26#039;t doing that many decorations. My fiancee is afraid real flowers will be too much work since we have to care for them overnight. My question is, for those who did their own flowers, how do I know how much to order? Whether I go with silk or real I don%26#039;t want to overbuy. I do have a floral book that I%26#039;m getting ideas from. Also, If it ends up being easier can I mixed silk flowers with real, or is that tacky? The bouquets and stuff will be real. Any advice would be a great help!

I%26#039;m doing my own flowers, need advice...?
I only wish I had $5000 to spend on MY wedding! I%26#039;m planning an outdoor wedding for May %26#039;07 and have done all my own florals with silks. I wouldn%26#039;t mix fresh and silks either. Doing your own isn%26#039;t that hard and will save you alot in the end. I bought my silks from several different places, Hobby Lobby, Michael%26#039;s, Dollar General and Dollar Tree. Hobby Lobby will usually have their stems on sale one week and their bunches on sale the next, both at half price. They have some beautiful silks to choose from. If you choose to buy on an off week then they always have a coupon you can use to save 40%. I bought my bouquet holder from Hobby Lobby on a week when they had all their wedding stuff for half off. Choose whatever florals you want to use and all you have to do is cut them and begin placing them in the styrofoam holder, then when you%26#039;re satisfied with the look, finish it off by wrapping coordinating ribbons around the handle and then looping them thru the hole on the end to have some hanging off. You can go to multiple websites online and print off step by step directions on how to do your own, just do a search on how to.

I also made all the corsages and boutineers too, plus decorations to use thruout the wedding. I%26#039;m also decorating an arbor with tulle, red heart lights and silk garlands that will coordinate with my bridal flowers.

If I can do it, anyone can! Just have a hot glue gun, wire cutters, some wire, floral tape and a little confidence in yourself!!

Best wishes for beautiful flowers and a happy life!
Reply:I am not sure what your budget is (I have worked with very small before though) there are a few good options for silks. Dont do real because to keep them from wilting you should refrigerate them overnight and that could take alot of room up in your fridge.

Silks have come a LONG way since their conception, and you can get silks now that are almost impossible to tell from the real thing. Just be sure you get good quality.

I know a few silk florists (online) that work with budgets. If you would like their info email me.

EDIT: You can get good quality silks for less than 300, email me and I will help you cut costs if you like (For FREE). You can have a GREAT wedding on a $5000 budget (or less!)
Reply:If there is anyway you can squeeze any money out of your budget for at least your bouquet, I would highly recommend it. You say you have a book you are looking at, then look at the arm bouquets for your attendants. These would be the easiest for a novice. You really should have a florist do these also. You could choose rather inexpensive flowers, with a flashy bow with streamers. The boutonnieres and corsages you could do in silk, in advance. Check with the church about altar flowers. Some require them. I wish I had more time to help you out more,
Reply:If you have never done flower work before it isnt as easy as it looks.

Silk flowers are tacky , in my opinion for a wedding.

If you are really on a tight budget my suggestion is this. For your Bridal bouquet have what is known as an arm bouquet.Simply put a few stems of fresh flowers tied with ribbon. They can be kept over night in a vase of water, they dont need to be refridgerated if kept cool.same with your bridesmaids.

Bouts. and coursages have made by a florist. They can be kept in the fridge over night. Limit who gets them.

Buying flowers online that are mailed can be a huge mistake if you have never dealt with the company before.Your flowers may be damaged or your shipment late.

If you have a Costco in your area they sell mixed bouquets of flowers in the store they now also sell wedding packages online. The people that provide this service are usually wholsale growers in your area. Look at their packages online.

You can also pre order flowers from the store in some areas talk to the manager.
Reply:I wouldn%26#039;t mix real and silk. Not in the same bouquet, at least. You could give your maid/matron of honor a real bouquet, and give the rest of your girls silk, though. As far as overordering, if you find silks online or whatever that you like, buy just one or 2 bushes. Chances are you local WalMart/Hobby Lobby/Michael%26#039;s has the same thing for half the price. Also, I know that MOST Hobby Lobby stores have someone who designs silk bouquets. Not sure on pricing, but if you have one near you it might be worth the time to check it out. You could also google silk wedding bouquets. Most places where you order the full bouquets you can pick the type/color of flower to be used.
Reply:For decoration I only use artificial flowers, life flowers are only for bouquet boutonniere etc. sometimes people use real flower for centerpieces, which is OK and usually doesn%26#039;t cost as much. Sure if you can do your own arrangement to look like the ones you see in the magazine, feel free to do so.

Yes my florist did say it is a lot of work to keep your flowers fresh for the event and it will cost you utility bills too I think, because you might not have time to arrange the flowers the day before the wedding right? means you will buy them 2 or 3 days prior then arrange them then store them with the right temperature etc..

Can I have curly willow or similar type branches for summer wedding?

My fiance requested that our centerpieces be tall and possibly branches such as curly willow or pussy willow. Our colors are red, black and white so he suggested that the branches be in one of those colors. I%26#039;ve only seen this done in fall or winter weddings since the season matches the decor. However, we have a lot of home decor with these types of branches in our own home and LOVE how they look. Would it be appropriate for an August wedding? I%26#039;m not much of a flower person, I love flowers in gardens but not in bouquets so much. I%26#039;d take branches and/or candles any day. Also, we%26#039;re trying to stay on a small wedding floral budget and hopefully I can make these centerpieces myself.

Would it be fine or would it look completely out of season? Know of any good pictures online that I could get ideas from?

Also, would guests want to as a take-home centerpiece? Not sure what we%26#039;d do with 15 centerpieces. We love these branch arrangements, but not that many!

Thanks!

Can I have curly willow or similar type branches for summer wedding?
I think that it could be done in a summer-y way :) Maybe you could add small flowers/greenery? If it is what you want, then the two of you should go for it! In my family, people always get excited about who gets to take centerpieces home, regardless of what they are lol. Even if your guests don%26#039;t want them, you could try to sell them or even donate them to a place that would like them as decorations or props?

Good luck!
Reply:they would be beautiful and dead easy for you to do yourself! if your vases are clear then get clear glass beads to hold the branches in place or if you are using pottery vases you can use regular old gravel to hold the branches in place! if you are lucky enough to have %26#039;frogs%26#039; use those!

michaels or joanns or any other big box craft shop should be able to supply you with the branches and the dollar stores should have vases! good luck and happy happy wedding!
Reply:It%26#039;ll be fine. If you want them to look more summery then just take some small silk flowers and floral wire and add them to the branches so they look like a blossoming tree.

Guests may or may not decide to take home the centerpieces. If they decide not to you can always sell them or just pitch them.

Have you used Farmstogo.com?

I just found this site and they have great prices on flowers.

I am doing simple arrangements and my FMIL BFF (lol) took a couple courses on floral design and bridal design. She is going to help for free. Just buy the supplies. So needless to say, I have a great thing, if I can get the flowers I want for great prices.

I just want to know what you thought about them, or if any other wholesale dealers were awesome and you want to share!

Thanks!

I haven%26#039;t used these suppliers, but I%26#039;ve heard good things about Fresh Roses. (They were recommended in that Bridal Bargains book.)
Reply:Hi. No, sorry, I have not used that particular wholesaler, so I cannot vouch for their service. I have used Rosesource.com, though, (see link below), for my son%26#039;s wedding. They seem a little higher, but I can vouch for their service and on-time delivery. It%26#039;s really scary ordering online (for sure!), but they did all arrive and we were extremely happy. What are "Water Jewels" made of?

Has anyone else heard of them? They are sold at craft stores in the same department as floral design supplies, as vase fillers for fresh or silk flower arrangements.

They start out as tiny hard spheres; the clear color variety looks just like the silicone dessicant found in shoe boxes (to keep them dry). When you leave them in water for about 1 hour each one swells up to about marble size and becomes a beautiful clear or colored sparkling orb. Then they are squishy and slippery. Most amusing.

The package is about 2 inches across and contains 200 or so. They come in clear, blue, and green so far but they CAN be colored with food coloring as they expand.

Warm water makes them expand faster.

They shrink back to original size when they dry out in about a week!

Salt destroys them completely.

What the heck are they???

What are %26quot;Water Jewels%26quot; made of?
I just looked at the package I have. It just refers to product as poly crystals. No where on the packaging does it state what they are made of. It just says it is a non-toxic polymer that absorbs water. I guess that%26#039;s the best answer we%26#039;re going to get.

Self-employed florists?

A. usually work only a few hours each week.

B. don%26#039;t need to hire other floral designers.

C. have to please only themselves with the arrangements created.

D. have full responsibility for the success or failure of the business

Self-employed florists?
D.

Any time you are self employed you have full responsibility of the business.

not A because you probably will have to work lots of hours to make the business grow

not B because once you grow you probably will need to hire more people

not C because everyone wants their own stuff and not everyone likes the same thing

How are the flowers at wholesale places different from the ones at Trader Joe's?

I%26#039;d like to buy bulk flowers and make arrangements myself. I%26#039;ve never visited a wholesale floral place before, but when I went to Trader Joe%26#039;s (or some other supermarkets), they have cheap flowers as well ($10 for a dozen small roses). I was wondering, do they have similar prices at wholesale florals or are the prices similar? Thanks.

How are the flowers at wholesale places different from the ones at Trader Joe%26#039;s?
Trader Joe is just a middle man he buys from wholesalers also, he just buys so much he gets a break on the price then he makes the $$, if you buy enough the wholesaler should give you a break also, you may need a resale license.
Reply:well i dont speak english really good and so i just wane chat and not answer ur questions so mail me at ------------------------charmedpinkcats@...
Reply:Wholesale florists are going to provide a better bulk selection and will most likely be fresher. Super markets usually get them after the wholesaler, more shipping and waiting time. Why not cut the middle man. There are also excellent web sites with great deals that will send the flowers right to your door, fast, fresh and cheaper. Don%26#039;t forget to process them after. Alittle sugar in warm water after cutting is good for almost all flowers. (No milky stems).
Reply:Zoe has good advice. Wholesalers get fresh flowers...when they start to turn they %26quot;unload them%26quot; to high volume retail places at near cost....to keep them longer would mean complete loss of investment.

However, you ordinairly have to operate a business to get access to the wholesale places. That means your local permeits and state resale tax number before they will let you in the door.

Keep in mind you are dealing with a live commoditiy with limited %26quot;shelf life%26quot;. Wholesaler get the cuttings in less than 24 hours. Retailers get theirs in up to 72 hours and what they don%26#039;t sell goes into the garbage.
Reply:Trader Joe%26#039;s are the freshest I have ever found. Daffodils last 2 weeks from there.

What advice can you give decorating the night before at a wedding reception using fresh flowers?

I am wanting to decorate the night before using fresh red roses in vases. If we do this, how will the flowers look the next day at 530 pm? They wont be too wilted already would they already? The reason why we want to do this, is if we buy our roses fresh from a wholesaler we save sooo much money then buying arrangements at a local floral shop.

Also, can anyone recomend any wholesaler websites for flowers?

Thank you very much on all your help!!!

What advice can you give decorating the night before at a wedding reception using fresh flowers?
Hi and congratulations!

We did the same thing for my son%26#039;s wedding!

One question....when and where is the reception? If it is in the summer...you will want to make sure that the hall is air conditioned WHEN you set up....not the next day. They will be fine if they are in an air-conditioned room all night. OR, on the flip side....is it a winter wedding? Again, you don%26#039;t want the hall TOO HOT for the whole night. Make sure the heat is turned way down. So...if the temperature in the room is OK for the whole night, you should be fine. Ours were lovely!

Here is the wholesaler we used. They were excellent and there are many choices of EACH color! The flowers arrived right on time and there were no problems!

http://www.rosesource.com/

Another one is this wholesaler:

http://www.growersbox.com/

Good luck!

PS--I forgot the mention. Follow their instructions to the letter!!

We had a Saturday wedding, so the roses arrived on Thursday. On Friday, my sister and I did them up. One warning.....it takes a lot of work to unwrap, cut the stems, put them in water filled with rose preservative, etc., so allow lots of time to do this. Again, I have an air conditioned house...so it worked out good...they were in the basement (very cool) overnight. You CAN%26#039;T use standard refrigerators. (They will tell you that). Florist refrigerators are different. But, in the end, IT%26#039;S WORTH IT because you will have saved TONS of money.
Reply:Don%26#039;t do it. You can%26#039;t determine the temp of the room over night and through the day. If you do it, you might walk into dead flowers.

If you are having your reception at a banquet hall/reception hall, then they should do all the decorating the day of as part of your package/contract.
Reply:those flowers should arrive 5 minutes before the guests arrive at the wedding reception. Choose someone in your area and get a discount because you%26#039;re ordering in quantity. Choose someone (some company you can trust...get references) so that they can be trusted to bring the flowers timely.
Reply:We did the same thing. We made sure the roses were still closed on Friday so they would be open by Saturday. Looked great!!
Reply:Set up everything but the flowers. I would be too afraid they%26#039;d wilt. Keep them refrigerated until a few hours before.
Reply:We do not have flower wholesalers here but we do have WalMart and a Copps store which have fresh roses daily for cheap. You can buy them a day ahead, keep them in a cool place so they stay crispy.
Reply:For a 5:30pm wedding, you want to decorate the MORNING of the wedding, not the night before. The flowers will look horrible. I know this because I talked to our florist about it. We had our wedding at 5:30 and she was there bright and early the morning of our wedding to decorate. It was great. Everything looked wonderful. She did a GREAT job and so, I feel like if she....a professional florist.....chose to do them the morning of, then she%26#039;s probably right.
Reply:EDIT: make sure with management you can decorate the night before, most places have rules and other parties happening

I did my flowers for my engagement party and my shower. I used orchids, calla lillies (engagement) and red roses (shower). I didn%26#039;t do my wedding because of wedding nerves and stress. With wedding nervousness and last minute preperations...flowers were not my focus. But it%26#039;s possible and may save you a ton of money.

I%26#039;m not a florist, but from my experience these flowers last forever. The key is to get REALLY fresh flowers, I%26#039;m not sure where your getting your flowers but I told my florist to make sure their fresh. Can the wholesale people help with that? Or try a supermarket, that%26#039;s where i bought the roses and the girl helped me with coordinating.

I did the arrangement the day before both parties, and both were refrigerated the night before. I do think they%26#039;ll be okay because my flowers lasted weeks after the event!!!! We gave them to guests and the said they were really strong and healthy. Out of the 2 arrangements (mini calla lillies and cymbidium orchids lasted longer) 3 weeks after the wedding

Roses (one week) Can you do a test on 1 arrangement?

I%26#039;m trying to remember what helped me

I didn%26#039;t fill the vases very high with water overnight for transporting, they need enough so the stems are touching the water. Fill them up when you get there...

The first arrangement took longer because I wasn%26#039;t sure what to do??? So be prepared for some flowers to be more managed and may break. Ugggh. Once the first is done the rest are easier.

I looked at lots of pics of arrangements online for inspiration, when i did the roses i referred to

Jamali has beautiful vases in natural fibers, ceramic, glass

I used low long reactangular vases. This place is known for florists in the industry in nyc.

I also knew ahead of time what I wanted

http://ovandony.com

Ovando has great architectural arrangements with long Bear Grass leaves (which is cheaper than flowers and you can buy online) and minimal flowers, they charge soooo much for so little. But they don%26#039;t look too hard, look under shop online and weddings for inspiration.

I love the arrangement called perfect balance

look under ovando-shop online link

They have grass, orchids, cut succulent very minimal but beautiful. I wish I did these for my party...

Something to offer for a funeral? SOmething I can make myself?

Haven%26#039;t got much money so I%26#039;m asking about some ideas for something cheap I can take or make for a funeral. Like a floral wreath, candle arrangement, etc. but i need some tips on how to make something nice. thanks!

Something to offer for a funeral? SOmething I can make myself?
When my Dad died many people gave us potted plants instead of flowers...I appreciated this very much, now I have a living reminder of him that I can look at daily.
Reply:Bring a nice plant in a pot that you have painted yourself, put in a little card on a florist pick, and give it to the funeral director. He or she will quietly place it with the other flowers, and the family will see your card later on.

You normally would not present a gift at a funeral. This is because a gift would put the attention on you, and you don%26#039;t want that. If you want to make a candle or other craft, give it to them at home, after the funeral is over, when nobody else is around.

.
Reply:I just saw a great idea at a funeral last week. Someone had purchased a small picnic basket (probably from WalMart) and had attached a silk flower to top....something simple........and a handmade, %26quot;from%26quot; tag to the basket handles. Inside was several snack items, like lunch cakes, cracker snack packets, gum, Lifesavers, etc. When a family is spending hours meeting people at a funeral home, often it is hard to get 5 minutes to step aside and have a snack. The picnic basket full of quick snacks was a very welcome gesture and will be remembered long after flowers have faded. Giving a remembrance gift is very much a custom in my part of the USA......framed prints, figurines, etc. But I like the picnic/snack basket, the best.

Simple to put together, and they usually come lined in fabric. If not, purchase one cloth napkin for the snacks to be arranged on.

I live in S. California and want to know when peonies are in season?

I really like peonies and would like to use them as part of my floral wedding arrangements. However I know that off season, flowers are pricier and I%26#039;m trying to estimate my budget.

I live in S. California and want to know when peonies are in season?
The California Peony (Paeonia californica) produces maroon 2%26quot; flowers in Jan.-Mar. It%26#039;s native from Monterey to San Diego http://www.laspilitas.com/plants/456.htm

Most of the herbaceous Peonies need a long cold dormancy and will either do poorly or perish in a climate as warm as Oceanside in southern California. http://www.peonies.org/faq0.html

Here%26#039;s a list of California Native Plants:

http://www.californiagardens.com/Lists/n...

California Peony (Paeonia californica) is just one of the natives. Mixing them in with other flowers is a good idea. Most florist get their flowers (even flowers that are grown in their own state) from other states %26amp; even from other countries with cheap labor anyway. Sometimes it%26#039;s cheaper for them because they contract for huge volumes at big discounts.

Good luck %26amp; congratulations! Hope this helped.
Reply:You%26#039;re welcome! I was surprised to learn that California has a native Peony. I%26#039;m glad I could help. Congratulations! Report It

Reply:I can%26#039;t grow poenies here in FL, but I used to grow them in Ohio and there they grew well during the summer months, for sure June thru August.
Reply:Peony require a winter chill you won%26#039;t get in SCal, even a tree peony. They bloom in late spring, so you might find them south of the equator in the fall. RScott

How do I remove my TeleFloraThomas Kinkade Church from the plastic floral base?

The Church sits atop a plastic base that holds the %26quot;foam%26quot; that the flowers were stuck in. We haven%26#039;t been able to remove the Church from the base to replace the batteries and to use it alone since the flowers and greenery died and have been thrown out. To see an example of the type of arrangement it was, you can see the 2007 version at the Telefora website. The person at the 800# couldn%26#039;t tell me how to do it. Here is a direct link to the TeleFlora arrangement for 2007.

How do I remove my TeleFloraThomas Kinkade Church from the plastic floral base?
If you look at the bottom picture it looks like the base has been removed - unless the base you are talking about is what appears to be snow.

If you are afraid to do this take it to the florist that delivered it and ask them to show you how to remove the base and replace the batteries.

Hope this helps. :)
Reply:duct tape
Reply:Here%26#039;s how you remove the church:

1. get a sharp knife, lots of old news papers, a small garbage bag, needle nose pliers, a large screwdriver with ice, and a pair for gloves.

First if there is carpet involved or small pets or children you want to play it safe and spread out lots of old news papers. Grab a tall glass from the shelf and fix yourself a tall %26quot;screwdriver%26quot; with lots of ice.

Next put on the thin rubber gloves (so you will not break a nail or scratch your hands) then take the needle node pliers and carefully remove all the floral arrangement. Put the pieces into the garbage bag.

Third: Get your very sharp knife and carefully cut away the attached Styrofoam around the bottom of the church. Put all the foam into the small garbage bag.

Fourth: Now you should be down to the %26quot;nitty gritty%26quot; and take a good look under the church for a little trap door. Then remove the old batteries and replace them with new ones. Not just any batteries, get EverReady and you will be all set.

Good luck in your venture!

Has anybody tried the bridal floral packages from costco?

Did the flowers arrive in good condition? Were you pleased with the overall quality and arrangement?

Has anybody tried the bridal floral packages from costco?
I did not use them for my own wedding but i did use them for a friends and not only did they turn out beautiful but they had an amazing price. They were guaranteed. They did exactly what the bride wanted and they were the freshest flowers i have ever seen. I truly think it is more bang for your buck. Hope your wedding is wonderful!
Reply:I%26#039;ve done the flowers for more than 50 weddings and some of the best I%26#039;ve ever done were budget weddings with grocery store flowers. They don%26#039;t last long but technically you only need them for one night. White roses are sometimes a little scary cuz they tend to bruise but I would go for it. If you want them to be more personable, if you do do roses what i do to make them rich looking is getting white pearl corsage pins at michael%26#039;s and sticking one in the center of each bud so they%26#039;re flush with the top of the rose. It looks so beautiful and makes the brides bouquet stand out from the bridesmaids. Adding your own ribbon helps too! Hope that helped :)
Reply:I got my flowers done by a grocery store...not costco, but I%26#039;m sure it was something similar and they were gorgeous, fresh and at a decent price. I dont know what the other person is talking about , but they last just as long as any other flower as they are fresh flowers. go for and save yourself some money you can spend on something else you really want for your wedding. congrats and good luck.

Starting pussy willows in floral foam? Anyone heard of or tried that?

I recieved a flower arrangement with pussy willows in it a couple of weeks ago.

After the flowers died, I went to throw out the arrangement and the pussywillows had sprouted leaves!

When I pulled the branches from the foam, there were small white roots running through the foam.

My question is, if I tried to do this ON PURPOSE next year, would it work again, and what would I need to add to the water that the foam block is soaked in?

Starting pussy willows in floral foam? Anyone heard of or tried that?
You can simply start pussy willows in a jar of water. Just let them sit there until they sprout(give fresh water every few days) then plant them in some potting soil in a container. They sprout easily.

I wouldn%26#039;t leave them in the foam.

I have a huge pussy willow tree and I put some in a vase with just water in they all sprouted.

You can dry pussy willlows out and they are good in dry arrangements.
Reply:Pussy willows can just be placed in water and they will root. It is one of the easier plants to root. They are ready for planting when roots reach a couple of inches long. I rooted a few this spring, stuck them in the ground, haven%26#039;t had to tend to them since. They are extremely easy to grow and you can cut them back each season if you like and they will return more full each year.

Shipping flowers to nursery?

I know nothing about horticulture, so to those of you who do, this may appear to be a dumb question....

If I were shipping flowers to a nursery, would I ship them fresh cut or would I dry them? Assume, that these flowers are going to the nursery to be planted to continue their growth. As I understand, aren%26#039;t flowers only dried when they are to be part of a floral arrangement or wreath? As of now, I think flowers shipped to a nursery should be shipped fresh cut.

All insight will be appreciated.

You can%26#039;t send her flowers tomorrow, cause she will know you did it out of guilt, but what about doing so in March, or June? Look around for other ways to tell her you love her, especially when it isn%26#039;t a special occasion. It will mean a lot to her.

She%26#039;s trying to make you feel bad (which she obviously did) so you send her some. Forget it. Do something else more special instead of flowers. Math Combinations/Permutations Question?

A florist has to make a floral arrangement. She has 6 banksias, 5 wattles and 4 waratahs. All the flowers of each kind are different. In how many ways can the florist make a bunch of 10 flowers if she has to use at least 3 of each kind?

I know it has been asked before but the answer given was unclear. Any help appreciated thanks

Math Combinations/Permutations Question?
First 3 positiion = Banksias

So 6 x 5 x 4 = 120

Second 3 Positions = Wattles

5 x 4 x 3 = 60

Third 3 Positions = Waratahs

So 4 x 3 x 2 = 24

120 x 60 x 24 = 172800

There must be 3 banksias, 2 wattles and 1 waratah left to take last position

therefore 6 ways to take last space

So 172800 x 6

= 1036800
Reply:for a bunch of 10 flowers ( at least 3 from each kind of A ( 6 ), B ( 5 ). C ( 4 ) ways are = C(4,4)*C(5,3)*C(6,3)

+ C(4,3)*C(5,4)*C(6,3)

+ C(4,3)*C(5,3)*C(6,4)

= 1*10*20 + 4*5*20 + 4*10*15

= 200 + 400 + 600

= 1200 ways
Reply:permutations are an ordered set without repititions. combinations are an unordered set of unique combinations. For example, both 2,3,5 and 3,2,5 are acceptable subsets of a permutation. However, a combination considers these to be the same subset.

In your case, with the flowers, either the question is very simple and the answer is three, or it%26#039;s very complex and I don%26#039;t feel like getting into it.
Reply:Basically you need to determine how many combinations per type of flower there are. Then you know you can %26quot;combine%26quot; those seperate %26quot;choices%26quot;/combinations together to get your 10 flowers.

So (6 choose 3) = # of ways to arrange those 6 flowers (# of ways to combine them/choose)

Do the same for the other two groups of flowers (5 choose 3) and (4 choose 3).

Finally you need to select 1 flower. We have already choose 9 of the total 15, so 6 are left. So the last flower would be (6 choose 1) which is 6.

So the total number of ways to choose 10 flowers would be:

(6 choose 3) * (5 choose 3) * (4 choose 3) * 6

Maths Question, HELP!?

Question 1. Show that 43^n + 83 x 92^(3n - 1) is divisible for all positive intergers n.

Question 2. A florist has to make a floral arrangement. She has 6 banksias, 5 wattles and 4 waratahs. All the flowers of each kind are different. In how many ways can the florist make a bunch of 10 flowers if she has to use at least 3 of each kind?

Maths Question, HELP!?
1) 43^n + 83 x 92^(3n - 1)

***You can solve this with recurrence:

1- Prove this is true for n=1

2- Prove that if it is true for n, it is also true for n+1

Then it is true for any strictly positive integer

**************

For n =1

P(1) = 43^1 + 83*92^(3-1)= 702,555

702,555 = 7*100,365

So it is true for n=1

**************

if it is true for n, then P(n) = 43^n+83*92^(3n-1) = 7q

where q is an integer.

Let us know verify it is true for n+1:

P(n+1) = 43^(n+1) + 83*92^(3n+3-1)

P(n+1)= 43^(n+1) + 83*92^(3n-1)*92^2

we know that: 83*92^(3n-1) = 7p - 43^n

Let us replace that in the previous formula:

P(n+1) = 43^(n+1) + (7p - 43^n)*92^2

P(n+1) = 7p*92^2 + 43^(n+1) - 43^n*92^2

P(n+1) = 7p*92^2 +43^n(43-92^2)

P(n+1) = 7p*92^2 - 43^n*8,421

8,421 = 7*1,203, so:

P(n+1) = 7(p*92^2 -43^n*1,203)

P(n+1) is divisible by 7.

so P(n) is divisible by any integer n%26gt;0

Question 2. A florist has to make a floral arrangement. She has 6 banksias, 5 wattles and 4 waratahs. All the flowers of each kind are different. In how many ways can the florist make a bunch of 10 flowers if she has to use at least 3 of each kind?

Pick a banksia = 6

Pick a banksia = 5

Pick a banksia = 4

Pick a wattle = 5

Pick a wattle = 4

Pick a wattle = 3

Pick a waratah = 4

Pick a waratah = 3

Pick a waratah = 2

Remaining flowers = 3 banksias, 2 wattles and 1 waratah = 6

Pick a banksia / wattle /waratah = 6

So, total ways

6 x 5 x 4 x 5 x 4 x 3 x 4 x 3 x 2 x 6 = 1036800
Reply:And provide CORRECT answer (1036800???) too! Report It

Reply:Q1. Divisible by what, I don%26#039;t see? By 7 as Mika has supposed? Well, that can be done directly, which is much shorter than inductively:

43 = 42 + 1 = 7*6 + 1≡ 1 (mod 7);

83 = 84 - 1 = 7*12 - 1 ≡ -1 (mod 7);

92 = 91 +1 = 7*13 + 1 ≡ 1 (mod 7), so

43^n + 83 x 92^(3n - 1) ≡ 1^n - 1*1^(3n-1) ≡ 1 - 1 ≡ 0 (mod 7).

Q2. Sum 10 can be obtained by 3 ways:

10 = 3 + 3 + 4 = 3 + 4 + 3 = 4 + 3 + 3, then the answer is

(6C3)*(5C3)*(4C4) + (6C3)*(5C4)*(4C3) + (6C4)*(5C3)*(4C3) =

200 + 400 + 600 = 1200, much less (3!3!4! = 6*6*24 times) than Mika has found.

Here nCr is the number of combinations of %26quot;n%26quot; things, taken %26quot;r%26quot; at a time.

Real flowers with glittter and glitter paints?

I recently saw a floral arrangement at the doctor%26#039;s office and the outer petals were covered in glitter and colored glitter paint. I thought they were absolutely gorgeous and was wondering where I could find such a piece, or what I can use to do this myself. Any help would be greatly appriciated! Thanks for your time and input!

You can find a special glitter spray, which can be sprayed directly on the flowers. This type of spray can be bought from a floral shop or a garden centre. It is very easy to use, and it%26#039;s fun, decorating your flowers differently. Don%26#039;t use any type of glitter spray but use a specific one. Have fun tyring it out! :)

First put 3 of each:

3 banksias

3 wattles

3 waratahs

That means you have 9 out of 10 flowers already.

You have to choose one more, out of three types.

Remaining 15-9 = 6 flowers to choose 1 as the 10th flower. Report It

She needs to use 3 of each of 3 flowers. That takes care of 9 flowers. If she is making a bath of 10, that just leaves 1 other flower. So her choices are:

3 banksias, 3 wattles and 4 waratahs

3 banksias, 4 wattles and 3 waratahs

4 banksias, 3 wattles and 3 waratahs
Reply:Only 3. Since using 3 of each kind of flower starts you off with 9 flowers, and you have 3 to choose from, there are 3 different bunches of 10 flowers:

A. 4 banksias, 3 wattles, and 3 waratahs

B. 3 banksias, 4 wattles, and 3 waratahs

C. 3 banksias, 3 wattles, and 4 waratahs.

Hope this helps!

I made a test centerpiece today - any comments or suggestions?

My mom and I sat down and came up with this centerpiece today as an option for my upcoming October wedding. It is a %26quot;funkin%26quot; (fake pumpkin) with leaves carved into it, a fake flower floral arrangement at the top, heart jewels dangling in the center of each cut out leaf and a fake flickering candle at the bottom. Please check out the pictures and give me any comments or suggestions! They are much appreciated :)

In certain respects I agree with Jessica - you%26#039;d get a nicer look with smaller leaves (even try different shaped leaves) and %26#039;scatter%26#039; them around the pumpkin. This way you%26#039;d have a more subtle light shining out. I would not use real candles, especially if you are going to use fake pumpkins - the interior of those are not meant for real flames and you may either melt them or catch them on fire. Stick with the battery ones.

One other suggestion - you%26#039;ll notice the edges are a little rough, which is too be expected when you are using a sharp object to %26#039;carve%26#039; with. You should sand the edges rounded with a fine sandpaper, then I would use %26#039;glitter glue%26#039; in fall shades of copper or gold or red to put on the edge cuts. This will %26#039;finish%26#039; the edge for you as well as give it a little extra shimmer. The glue is not all that expensive.

Other than that, it looks cute! If you look around the craft stores they probably have little %26#039;picks%26#039; of scarecrow boys or girls for like 50 cents that would be cute too!

Good Luck
Reply:so cute! i think it%26#039;s perfect for a fall wedding. you are so creative.
Reply:I think it looks awful.....cheap......don%26#039;t do it....

if u want to do something like that why not use real flowers and maybe gords with tealights around it
Reply:I like that. I would just be careful the light from the candles does not light the flowers on fire. That would be bad!!!
Reply:Too cute!!! They look really great! If you are going to light the candles inside I would suggest taking out the charm hanging from the ribbon though - it is a fire hazard. If the candles are fake, then the charm looks great!!!
Reply:Way cute idea. I would get the clear tea lights at Target of course, instead of white ones...and I would try to use real pumpkins if you can.

You could have a pumpkin carving party for a rehearsal dinner the night before!
Reply:I%26#039;d go with much smaller leaf cutouts, more scattered at random around the pumpkin. Don%26#039;t bother with the jewels. Love what you chose for the topper.

Aren%26#039;t those fake tealights great? I just bought some!
Reply:I think it%26#039;s really nice! My only opinion would be to use real tealights in them. It makes a huge difference. Other than that - its perfect!
Reply:it%26#039;s cute but what%26#039;s the point of a fake candle in a fake pumpkin...i mean it won%26#039;t throw out light or shine thru the pumpkin. i would secure the florals into the top of the pumpkin and go with real candles in leaf votive holdersor clear glass holders down the center of table in between pumpkins and use leaves scattered on the table as well...
Reply:I think it came out really nice. Maybe you should try to put the flower inside instead of the fake candle, and then you could dangle the hearts on the outside, just a thought. Either way I think it will look really nice!
Reply:i love this fall theme..very creative!
Reply:Very cute i think every one will love them you might try to make it a little Fuller and see if you like that if you have the extra cash
Reply:What about the people on the other side of the cut out? All they will seee is the pumpkin... It needs to be the same on all sides
Reply:First, awesome idea. Love the maple leaf (Canadian, so of course I do ;) ... ) In any event, I was trying to picture this in the centre of the table, and all these people sitting around it. Not everyone is going to be able to see the leaf other than 2 or 3 people sitting on that side of it. If it%26#039;s a possibility, why not have a few smaller leaves all around it? Give everyone a cute view!

Good luck!
Reply:I think you did a great job. did you ask a question about what to carve into the pumpkins yesterday? someone did and i couldn%26#039;t think of anything to say but this is really cute. i like it and congrats on your wedding. i got married in oct. also. oct. 28, 2000. good luck.
Reply:Cute, my suggestion would be to carve smaller leaves in more qty. on the pumpkin, that way you cant see the led candle or the inside of the fake pumpkin it self.

In addition after you are done i would get a fine grain sand paper and lightly sand the edges of the cuts so they dont look rough.
Reply:Very pretty!!! I love Pumpkins and Fall. You have a very unique idea and it looks great! Congratulations.
Reply:I also like the idea of smaller leaves carved in --

is there any way to get real greenery for the top? I think real is always nicer (except with the pumpkins, they would probably stink).

Also-- be aware if you use real tealights in the pumpkin that you need to make sure there is an opening at the top or you could start a fire...

--I love the dangling jewels... very creative indeed
Reply:cute!

the only thing i would change would be the cut out of the maple leaf on the front.

i would just leave the pumpkin whole with the flower arangement commingo ut the tip.

you could also add tea light candles around the pumpkin in %26quot;fall%26quot; colored holders.

also sprinkle some maple leaf%26#039;s on the tables.
Reply:Very creative....BUT IMO Looks kinda cheap to me.

#1 i would use real flowers.

#2 the candle looks better than the heart

#3 I understand because it%26#039;s October with the pumpkin...but i personally would not go with a halloween themed centerpiece
Reply:Love the idea, great for a October wedding. Maybe add gold on the pumpkin to %26quot;pretty it up%26quot;.
Reply:very cute! i love them...

I am getting married in July 2008 : colors are sage, ivory, dusty yellow and copper.?

What will be a simple floral arrangement?

I am getting married in July 2008 : colors are sage, ivory, dusty yellow and copper.?
You should begin looking for floral vendors now and check to see what they%26#039;ve done in the past ... let them know what your colors are and what styles you like and they can go from there. A lot of them will put together samples - for a small fee - so that you%26#039;re sure you like the designs.
Reply:Baby Chrysanthemums with Baby%26#039;s Breath, tied with sheer ribbons of all your colors. I love you colors, by the way.

Congratulations to you!
Reply:there is not going to be simple flower arrangement if you have a million colors.
Reply:http://www.hickerphoto.com/data/media/18...

it%26#039;s hard to pick an arrangement without seeing the dress or knowing the setting...
Reply:To punch up those colours a little bit, I would have a mixed coloured bouquet with a mixture of flowers as well - pinks, yellows, peaches, a little purple - with the greenery. You could have a combo of carnations, daisies, sweetheart roses, alstromeria, etc.

Reply:ivory. happy marrided life:-)
Reply:Peach and white roses, Yellow trimmed carnations, white baby%26#039;s breath, white daisies, and a pretty ribbon.
Reply:ivory roses, some sort of orchid flower sage colored, with a copper and dusty yellow ribbons and sash
Reply:IDK........already sounds a little busy. I think you should go with some white roses and put you colors in the ribbons and stuff around the bouquet. Something like this.........

Reply:creamy white lillies with yellow sprigs of yarrow and dusty miller.
Reply:summer flowers, think sunflowers, daisy%26#039;s, tulips, carnations...can all be done in different colors. tie the flowers up with ribbon and put in a pretty basket, like handpicked form a garden.

Reply:Alcatraz or white roses.
Reply:Make several appointments to interview several florists. That is why you go to a professional. The florist will know the best flowers to complement your colors and budget. Do not be shy about setting and keeping a budget. They deal with bride after bride all year long and know that everyone has a different pocket book. You know what you can spend and the florist knows what flowers will be in bloom that time of year in your colors and price range.

Congratulations.

What flowers are in season and available the last week in September in the Detroit, MI area?

I%26#039;m getting married Sept. 27, 2008. I want to know my floral arrangement options.

What flowers are in season and available the last week in September in the Detroit, MI area?
I%26#039;m getting married Sept. 29, 2007 %26amp; we%26#039;re having Gerbera Daisies...they are beautiful %26amp; inexpensive! The colors they come in are fantastic! Good Luck!! My bouquet will be mini calla%26#039;s, which are a little more expensive.
Reply:Roses seem to be available year round and reasonable. We had Horrocks do ours. They are in Lansing and Grand Rapids. Not sure about Detroit, but they do deliver.
Reply:I really don%26#039;t know that much about which flowers are in season. But I do know a wonderful florist. We use Viviano%26#039;s all the time for both personal occasion and business occasions. They should be able to provide you with the best options for this time of year. You don%26#039;t ultimately have to purchase your flowers for them, but most will provide a free initial consultation. At least this way you%26#039;ll know what to look for. Here is their website: http://www.viviano.com/
Reply:Dear Future Bride,

Greetings from Troy Michigan. September is Homecoming month for most of the area schools. So florist will have a lot of roses, carnations, orchid blossoms, and alstroemeria. My best bet is to go with roses but carnations are a cheaper option. Thrifty florist always does nice wedding flowers. They also offer wedding discounts.
Reply:You have TONS of possibilities. Most flowers will come in those awesome autumn colors, like russet, orange, golden yellow, bronze, aubergine, and deep purples. But a lot of flowers are available year round. Something nice to get this time of year is wheat. Think of harvest time with baskets, arrangements in pumpkins, beautiful leaves and candlelight. Can you tell this is my favorite time of year?

I would like some assistance please?

Ok, so, there is this girl i really really REALLY like! but she goes to college 5 states away! :( And i tried bringing up the whole %26quot;what are we?%26quot; question, but i didnt get a clear answer (i dont think she tried to make it cloudy) and i didnt want to press it. Now she has asked me to go to her family%26#039;s for thanksgiving. I already said yes, but should i like bring a floral arrangement for her mom or something? and how can a i casualy bring up the %26quot;what are we?%26quot; question without seeming like a creepy naggy guy? Im so confused! please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would like some assistance please?
I think the floral arrangement is a must for her mom.

There must be something for the girl as well but not as good as for her mom.

Don%26#039;t mention %26quot;what are we%26quot; topic.

She invited you to her home and it means something.

Time will show.
Reply:Five states? Hope you live in New England and not out West!! What are you...you are five states away is what you are...enough said...
Reply:I think it would be nice to bring a flower arrangement for her mother, or a bottle of wine (depending on how old you are and if they are wine drinkers or not). Nothing too fancy or too costly, however.

If you want my opinion, I think you should just enjoy the time together. The more good times she has being with you (no pressure, etc.) the more things will go in your favor, if you know what I mean. Wait until a time when it is just the two of you to bring up the question again. If it isn%26#039;t an answer that you are going to like, how awkward, for one, if you bring up during the middle of a Thanksgiving get-together. I think you will know when the time is right to bring up the question again. I think it is a good sign that she invited you to dinner though! Good luck!
Reply:Look this is what you do...Bring her mom the flowers, and when you go and talk to her this is what you say, tell her that you really like her and you would like to know where you stand in her life, to know if she looks at you as a friend or more...
Reply:Just do it..in what ever way you know how. You will eat yourself up forever if you hold it in. I know it is hard and you feel out of place. This is what life is about. Maybe you can ask her hat she thinks of you and then you can tell her what you think of her. Good luck and be blessed.
Reply:well just bring some desserts over like apple pie or something.the flower thing sounds nice too.but i%26#039;m pretty sure she won%26#039;t mind you asking again.so just have the guts to ask her!you can%26#039;t waste your life asking %26quot;why?%26quot; live your life!
Reply:Flowers are a nice idea, but don%26#039;t go overboard.

Tell her you may seem dense, but you%26#039;re not sure enough of yourself to know what she meant when she wrote back.

Gotta tell you, getting invited to Thanksgiving dinner is a step in the right direction. Be on your best behavior, they%26#039;ll all have something to say to her about you.

Good luck.
